Tarot: Knight of Cups

//Tarot: Knight of Cups

Tarot: Knight of Cups

knight of cupsAs with the Pages of each Minor Arcana suit, the Knights may represent messengers, but often the message they bring is of more importance than one entrusted to a Page.  Knights also may represent a young man – son, grandson, nephew, etc.  They also may represent such a quality that the querent has, or needs to obtain.

Again, we see the symbol of water – the stream the Knight must cross – representing the subconscious and emotions.  The Knight of Cups is a peaceful messenger, and his helmet is adorned with the wings of Hermes, the swift God of of messages to all other Gods in the Greek pantheon.  He betokens information coming to the querent that is joyful!
